Online Programs & Communication

How technology helped this non-profit quickly pivot their programming online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

COVID-19 made businesses of all types change their plans, non-profits included. When all large public gatherings were cancelled, this storytelling organization wanted a way to move their theater-based events online and connect their audience during a time when shared experiences mean more than ever.

Everyone has a story to tell.

First Person Arts has always been dedicated to transforming the drama of real-life into memoir and documentary art in order to foster an appreciation for unique and shared experiences. They believe that everyone has a story to tell and that sharing our stories connects us with each other and the world. This is where The COVID Stories come in: First Person Arts wanted to hear how people are fared as they distanced themselves socially.

Every 3 days during the COVID crisis, First Person Arts issued a new prompt on their website and social media platforms. These prompts ranged from, “What are your cooking during the pandemic,” to “What has social distancing taught you about yourself that you didn’t know”. They asked for 5-minute stories to share with the world.
